Today we had a very relaxing, lazy day. We picnicked in the park, played frisabee, soccer, and "catch." But that's not what I wanted to write about, what struck me, and not until hours after, is how pleasurable it is to walk bare feet on the grass.
As I ended the day, I began to think how I missed this simple pleasure. As a child I would be everywhere without slippers on my feet, even walking in the yard, which was covered in gravel. You would think that walking on stones would hurt a child's tender soles, well, no. Oh to be young again. It brought back beautiful memories (it is such a different feeling to walk bare feet on the grass, than it is to walk on carpet or flooring.)
Now, that we are well on the way to warm/hot days and will be venturing into the park more often I will surely remember to take sometime to walk bare feet.
