I know I am not the greatest of writers, I agonize over my grammar, punctuation marks, etc. So, when I read online articles from major news sources I am appalled at some of the mistakes. These are people who are journalists and they have the responsibility of writing quality articles, right?
Case in point - the online article was written by a local CBS journalist, she wrote, "Full-time pace university student Rittika Mukherjie...*" Should I chalk it up to a simple case of not proof-reading? If she DID proof read her piece, shouldn't she have caught this error on the first go-round?
Am I being too picky? Judgmental? Overly critical? If your article is going to be publicized make sure that it's free of mistakes.
